Something REALLY unexpected happened this week. The spirits have been working their magic...
I can't comment on what it is because it is SO SO SO SO early. I can only give a tiny hint: it has something to do with Arelia and the gang possibly heading to a screen near you!
Really that is all I know. Cool but yet again VERY early :)
Down in New Orleans :P

That's awesome! I sooooo hope so! I believe it would be better than the twilight saga!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt really would be!
ReplyDeleteThis is AMAZING news!!!! I knew great things would come your way!!!! I can't wait to see it all come to life!!!!! EEEEKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations Kira & I'll be talking with the spirits to help move this along smoothly!!!! <3 :P <3
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your support guys!! It's exciting and scary. I'd love to see the spirits come alive :O
ReplyDeleteOMG! I CAN'T WAIT! Thank you spirits! (:
ReplyDeleteWow the spirits must really like you right now and i hope your books hit theaters. Oh and not some unrelated news did you know all four of your books are in the top 100 books for teens. You topped twilight because the only had two books. I just kind of thought that was cool.
ReplyDeleteReally!? Is that on BN? Cool.
DeleteThe only thing I'm focusing on right now is making Suppressed as awesome as possible :))))
I know, as you said, its very early. But, if it were to work out, do you think there would be open casting? I know I mentioned it earlier, but it would be fun to play Arelia. :D I actually had a dream the other night I DID play her in the movie! It was so fun. Haha
ReplyDeleteLOL, Julianna. My hope is that undiscovered talent will play the characters, so I would support open casting if I have a say in anything. Unless, it's animation :P
DeleteI just finished your books in a week and I can't wait. I absolutely fell in love with your series. I've been researching and just can't get enough. I'm even headed to new Orleans soon. Thank you for your contribution to the other realm of art, beauty and suspense!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Kierstin, thank you so much for reading! Are you really researching and heading down to New Orleans? That's AMAZING! Never stop learning and growing :)
DeleteA movie would be so awesome! Because of reading this series I have started planning a vacation to New Orleans for my husband and I to take sometime in 2014. I never realised how close NOLA is from where I live in Alabama, I guess that's because I've never had any interest in it until now. I've even found myself looking for places to eat in my area that serve some of the food mentioned in the books! Sadly, the closest thing we have around here is Popeyes, HAH! Anyway, I have enjoyed these books so much and can't wait for #5! You are very talented and a real jewel to find. Thank you for sharing your imagination and talent with us!
ReplyDeleteHi Tiffany! Thank you so much for reading! You're so lucky you live so close to NOLA!! Are you really heading down there? I'm so excited for you. I'm sure you'll have an amazing time and hopefully you'll get to eat some of that yummy food.
DeleteHmm it seems like lots of readers are heading down to NOLA. I wish one day we'll all have a chance to meet up :)
I just finished all four books and loved them!!! Cant wait for number five!!
ReplyDeleteMY WORD:-) I'm in Love with the Areila Saga..... Super excited to hear about possible movie (fingers crossed) & book #5 Suppression!!!Yay. Hopefully the movie will be produced right here where it belongs NOLA:-)
ReplyDeletePLZ keep us posted on the filming Ms.K I would so love to be an extra on set. God bless hun.
I am getting so excited! I am on the edge for number 5 and then you come up with this post! I would love to have a part in this whether it is getting people to check it out or even having a part in it (don't worry I won't get my hopes up too much because you said it is too early) but I just can't wait! Keep up the awesome work.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the book! I went through all your books so fast, never taking more than a day to finish one! I'm heading down to New Orleans this august and this just made me that much more excited! Your writing style is so beautiful by the way. It's so refreshing to read a novel that makes me feel as though I am walking right alongside Arelia/Cecile. Huge, Huge fan!! I can't wait to read more of your novels and to see where your imagination takes you after the Arelia LaRue series. Once again, LOVE your work. I hope to be a good of a writer as you one day
ReplyDelete-Mercedes
Thank you all SO much. Your support means the world to me. I'm SO excited that you guys are excited about NOLA!! The city is truly magical and haunting.
ReplyDelete@ Valkyrie, yes it is very early but I'm hopeful. The company that has reached out has a really great track recond so who knows where all of this can go :). I'll keep you posted for sure :)
Dear Ms Kira Saito,
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the Arelia LaRue series! My friend introduced me to it and I was immediately hooked! I love everything about it! However, I and my friend are having a little argument and I thought it'd be best if you, the author, settle our quarrel over the series. Now, I do apologize if this will be awkward, but she thinks that in chapter 25 of Possessed, Arelia and Lucus had . . . um . . . intercourse. I read the chapter she referred to, and I totally disagree! I thought that it was really about her and Lucus just kissing and having an intimate moment about the future and their dreams! Neither one of us will agree with the other until we hear from the master writer who actually wrote it. Are either one of us right? Or are we just both wayyyyy off course?
Hey there!! First, I want to thank you and your friend for reading the series! THANK YOU!
DeleteHmmm, interesting question. No one has asked me that before. I can see why you and your friend have different opinions on that chapter. It was written ambiguously on purpose. It's up to readers to fill in the blanks with their imaginations.
Yes, Arelia and Lucus hung out and spent some quality time together BUT if they had sex or not is really between them. I guess as readers we'll never really know :)
I hope that helps!
Just out of curiousity why is there such a big debate over this issue? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
DeleteLOL! I'm her friend. I was the one that introduced her to the series. You see, we always like to prove that we're right.....She says I'M ALWAAAYS RIGHT! But I'm like Ivan says their sleeping together sooo....and he CAN SEE what she's doing......
ReplyDeleteLOL LOL. I don't want to get in the middle of your fued BUT, yes, the Ivan part is really awesome detective work :)))))
DeleteWhen did it say he could see what she was doing? I thought that he could only hear her thoughts. O.o I'll look again lol. And I argued that the term 'sleeping together' doesn't always mean sex. Plus, we're both pretty strong willed so when we heard the other's view on the subject we both kept going back and forth about who was right and stuff :P
DeleteIt can be taken both ways. I guess...
DeleteYes, Ivan can only hear her thoughts which pretty much means he knows what is going on, where she is what she is doing... Feeling, etc...
LOL, does it make a difference if the answer is yes or no? lol.
Haha, no it doesn't. We just both have different ways of interpreting things so we sometimes end up in debates on different topics when we both read a book or series. Anyways, thank you for clearing up on the matter :) Just out of curiosity, which book in the Arelia LaRue series was your favorite to write?
DeleteI admire that, debate is awesome and healthy. Good for you guys! Most people inhale books like fast food without looking beneath the surface and challenging themselves to find a deeper meaning.
DeleteEvery book I finish writing becomes my new favorite!
Also, how do you pronounce the name Arelia? I think it it's ARE (like *are* you coming to the movies?) and LIA (sounds like how its spelled).
ReplyDeleteyup! That's right. or Are leeeeeee Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
DeleteKira, I am a huge fan of your books! I love New Orleans and am fascinated by the culture, which you have helped bring to life with your words.I get to visit there about once a year but with help from your books I get to drift back to the place I love much more often. I truly love your work, thank you so much for being awesome. Now, on a side note... do you have any updates about Suppressed!??? I saw that there hasn't been anything since March and I'm so curious about what's happening with the book!! Thanks again Kira, you really are the best and I hope to hear from you soon! <3 Mollie Marie
ReplyDeleteHey Mollie. Thank you!!!! SO much for reading and for reminding me to put up a teaser and update!!!!!
